Mental health needs are almost directly related to measures of academic success, according to the American College Health Association. These factors include receiving lower grades, incomplete projects, or dropping classes altogether. Therefore, students should place a priority on maintaining their mental health while in college. WMU Director of Health Promotion and Education Cari Robertson discussed ways in which students struggle with mental health and how they can seek help or prevent it from developing into something worse.
