03:05 Sep 30, 2020
SpaceX made history on Saturday after its Crew Dragon spacecraft lifted off for the International Space Station (ISS). The launch, a partnership with NASA, is the first time a privately built spacecraft carried astronauts into orbit. The Falcon 9 rocket, which detached from the spacecraft after expending its fuel, was also confirmed to have successfully landed on a drone ship in the ocean. The launch took place at Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Fla.
