'Delivered by John Hansen, Mathematics Department Coordinator at Iowa Central Community College John Hansen, Math Department Coordinator at Iowa Central Community College, will present the transition from Compass and Accuplacer to ALEKS PPL, including the design, implementation and the resulting impact on student success and retention. Hansen will share the success rates for ALEKS PPL vs. other methods of placement for developmental math courses, college level math courses, traditional and nontraditional students. Additionally, we will look at how the college partners with area high schools and motivates students to take placement seriously.'
