'The Bill of Rights was written after the Revolutionary War in 1791. It is a very special part of the Constitution, and it is the highest law in the United States Its purpose was to protect citizens of the new United States and to ensure the government knew what it could and could not do to the people. Several of the members of the first Congress wanted to ensure certain liberties and rights were protected.   In this virtual lesson, students will: o Watch a brief video to learn about the Bill of Rights and what it means to Americans.  o Examine the Bill of Rights  o Complete the corresponding worksheet.
