'This is a short review of Youtube Kids app. My kids who are aged 7 and younger LOVE youtube kids. It\'s a mindless app that\'s great for: 1) Kids watching other kids role play (but not sure about the appropriatedness of the videos.. ie Ryan\'s Toys and Ryan\'s World) 2) Unboxing and toy reviews sometimes with music (this imo starts kids on the beaten path of wanting toys they can\'t have). It\'s somewhat annoying hearing your kid always ask, \"Can I have that TOY!\" 3) As a parent, policing and making sure the content on youtube kids is appropriate is not worth the effort for me. I\'ve seen that my kids become somewhat mindless zombies. * It\'s difficult to easily setup the youtube kids app for filtering good content. You have the following options * disable search feature. But if you do this, you can only watch what youtube recommends. NO BUENO * enable search feature in the beginning, then favorite good videos but block bad videos and then disable search feature. Again this is a ton of work. Even after doing this,.. bad videos or inappropriate videos might slip by. So you\'re left with constantly blocking videos and channels. * you can give your kid unfettered freedom... and let them run nilly willy on youtube kids. I\'ve done this too. I didn\'t like my kids behavior following such sessions. Yep.. so this short review is saying, I\'d recommend deleting the youtube kids app for kids 7 and under. There are better educational apps like brain pop or pbs kids, or... I\'m sure you can find something else out there. Good luck.'
