This is all set up (by MMA Top Brass) to get MMA into the Olympics.  They need a youth development league to qualify as an Olympic sport. EAST COAST Youth Fighters and Coaches should TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS (the rest of America is).  Step up! It’s embarrassing. I checked the roster for nationals at the UFC Apex Center (contender series).  This is how you fight for a spot on the US Team to compete in worlds. None of you are registered. It’s all kids from the South, West, Central, Midwest and Hawaii (tons of Hawaiians). Contact me or the United States Fight League (USFL) if you are serious about competing (USFL - The only US organization that selects the US Youth MMA Team who will compete in worlds).   I am the USFL East Coast promoter and there will be East Coast Competitions this year. I just had one. Only three fighters signed up????? (the cost is... FREE.) I had to get fighters to drive up from Florida to make the card happen.  BJJ gyms. You own these tournaments. There are no head strikes. Train your kids to throw straight punches and clinch in for the takedown/back take/pull guard. The BJJ kids dominate with very little striking.   Remember: at the youth level it’s not “win at all costs” it’s “compete at all costs” ARE you an MMA Gym? Then compete in MMA!  Thank you East Coast! Let’s Go! Make our mark and stop being the only part of America that always gets left behind in the Mixed Martial Arts Movement. We have the best wrestlers. We have the best BJJ teams. We have the best Muay Thai Fighters. We have the best boxers.  We should also be the best in MMA.  It starts with the kids.  USFL East Coast S.A.F.E. Objectives: - Safe (no head shots/dangerous techniques) - Appropriate (heavily regulated standards)  - Fun (if you step in the cage, win or lose, you are a superhero) - Effective (train for MMA by doing MMA)  The United States Fight League is a IRS 501 c 3 nonprofit regulatory and sanctioning organization that fosters and supports Youth Pankration  Modern Pankration is a milder alternative for Mixed Martial Arts that encompasses Grappling and Limited Contact Striking (no head shots). Rules emphasize technique and sportsmanship making this a safe sport, suitable for competitors of all ages from all styles of Martial Art.  The primary emphasis of the USFL is to develop strong youth character from rigorous competition.
