Sunset and Vandenberg AFB SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket Launch Over San Diego Timelapse
00:37 Sep 20, 2020
Shot from atop Mount Helix in La Mesa, California. This launch vehicle contained Iridium Next commercial communications satellites 31-40 and was launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California on December 22, 2017 at 5:27 PM. Shot with a Canon 6D and Tokina 17-35mm. I used qDslrDashboard on an Android tablet to ramp the shutter speed from 1/1600 to 4 seconds and ISO from 100 to 1600. I later used LRTimelapse to compile the video sequence and Blender VSE to add a title, sound effects, and music. Background music is a snippet of """"Cosmo Pulse"""" by Maxim Kornyshev.
